Silent Parties: What’s the Big Deal?

A silent party might not be something you’re particularly familiar with. You might have heard people rave about them, but be wondering what makes them so special. Well, as we’re in the know, we thought we’d shine some light on the matter and examine what makes them so enjoyable.

People can talk!

Have you ever been in a standard club and found yourself straining just so that your friend can take a drinks order? We’ll go ahead and assume that, if you’ve been to a club, you’ve experienced that.

One of the beauties of the silent party is that you don’t need shout to be heard five yards away. While it’s not a hundred percent silent, there aren’t any huge speakers to contend with. Sure, you might need to tap someone on the shoulder to get their attention if they’re plugged in”, but that’s got to be better than screaming your way through an otherwise enjoyable evening.

Take back control

No, we’re not talking about Brexit here, we’re still on silent discos. Often, there will be a couple of different channels to choose from on your headsets. Not only does this let you sync up with your friends and what they’re listening to, but it also allows you to tailor the music without restricting you to a certain room or club.

You’ve also got the option of taking your headphones off if you fancy a break. Endless pounding in the eardrums can cause a number of undesirable side-effects, and there aren’t that many quiet areas on a standard night out. Thankfully, at silent parties you can choose to escape the noise at any given moment.

It’s a bit different

It’s always good to mix things up a bit if you can. Why repeat the same old things, time after time, when you could try something a little different. You might not enjoy silent parties at all, but equally you might find they’re your favourite things in the world. Silent discos are still very much in the new” category when it comes to parties – they’re not yet standard, so everyone’s normally that little bit more excited about going to one. That comes with its perks, too.
